Record door construction, weight, opening angle, overlay/inset arrangement and the required mounting details. Specify the closure mechanism and any special opening requirement. Check the manufacturer data for the selected model.
Drawer runners
Identify the drawer dimensions and intended contents. Confirm runner length, mounting arrangement, load rating and extension type from the manufacturer. “Soft close” describes a mechanism; it does not define every other property of the runner.
Storage systems
For pull-out pantry, corner and shoe systems, check the usable internal cabinet opening and operating clearance. State which baskets, inserts and mounting components are included. Confirm the mounting and internal dimensions before ordering.
Replacement and supply
Keep exact model references with the project documents. If an alternative is required, compare its mounting and performance before approval. Confirm availability, quantities, installation and the actual warranty terms where supplied.
Check operation at handover
Open doors and drawers through their intended movement. Review rubbing, access, handles and closure with the installer. Record adjustments and any outstanding parts against the item reference so the issue can be followed up clearly.
