Design around the merchandise

Record product dimensions, weight and presentation before setting shelves. Distinguish displays that change frequently from fixed arrangements, and review stock access and cleaning. Loads, fixings, glazing and lighting need separate specifications, especially for units accessed by the public.

Compare the design options

Use these options to discuss the configuration that fits the room and its intended use. Review dimensions and details against the actual material and hardware selected in the drawing.

Details to send before quotation

Include clear site photos and any available drawings, then clarify the points below. This makes the quotation scope easier to review and helps identify changes before production approval.

  • List product types, sizes and expected weights.
  • Provide the layout, circulation and exit routes.
  • Specify adjustable shelves and lighting components.
  • Review samples and design loads with the project team.

Installation and handover checks

Test sample merchandise and access routes. Inspect shelf support, fixing and edges, then have lighting checked and obtain rearrangement instructions for movable units.
